Sources tell us that the Royals are actively shopping starting pitcher Brian Bannister to other Major league clubs.  Bannister is 6-6 for the Royals this season and has helped hold together what has been at times a shaky rotation.

Details are unknown as to what the Royals are wanting for Banny but we would have to be safe to say a Major League ready middle infielder and a good (not great) pitching prospect would have to be on their list.  With the complete void of talent in the Minors the Royals have prospects would be the key to move any Royal.  Our eyes see the REAL Dayton Moore Royals in 2011 when HIS players have had time to move through the systems and have depth at all levels.

Sources are saying the Royals maybe intrested in moving Jose Guillen to the Braves for 25yr old outfielder Jeff Francoeur.

The move would certainly only be made if Atlanta would eat majority or all of the remaining amount left on Guillens contact.  Francoeur has been mentioned in the past as a sucessful project player by Royals GM Dayton Moore and Moore isn't making it any secert that he would love to add Francoeur to Kansas City.

Francoeur is currently batting .246, with 4 home runs, and 30 RBI's for the Braves.

This is great news for a Royals team who are already losing starting Center Fielder Coco Crisp with season ending surgery. 

*Other notes, John Buck is getting closer to returning as well and should be back around the same time Gordon is.

Royals closer and starting third baseman Alex Gordon move closer to their return.  Soria who has been on the disabled list since April 18th has thrown light bull pen sessions lately and feels good.  The Royals expect to see him back in early June.

Third baseman Alex Gordon is still rehabbing his surgically repaired hip.  Gordon who had surgery on April 17 took his first light swings of a bat back on April 22nd and scheduled to for a follow up exam sometime this week to set a time table for his return.

As to when will Soria be able to begin throwing again, manager Trey Hillman has been quoted to saying "Not until the inflammation goes down". "We're looking at some different exercises for his shoulder, but nothing more than that".

The Royals placed Soria on the 15-day disabled list after the 4 to 3 loss against the Angels on Saturday. The 34 year old Taylor who played for the Redskins last year posted 29 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble in part time duty.

By drafting Aaron Curry with the 4th overall pick in the NFL draft.  The Seattle Seahawks removed the franchise tag from star Line Backer LeRoy Hill.   Hill who now becomes a free agent, is rumored to be a suitor for several NFL teams, including the Chiefs.

If the Chiefs some how land the 26 year old Hill, passing on Curry may have been a blessing in disguise.

With the Larry Johnson situation up in the air, James could provide the Chiefs the out they need to cut or trade their disgruntled tailback.  Some of the other teams who may hold interest in James are the Seahawks, Dolphins, and Buccaneers.
