Chiefs draft DE Tyson Jackson 3rd overall

The Kansas City Chiefs used the 3rd overall pick in the 2009 NFL to draft LSU defensive end Tyson Jackson. Jackson with rejoin former team mate and 2008 Chiefs first round pick DT Glenn Dorsey.

Jackson a 6'4, 290 pound defensive end started all 13 games for LSU in 2008 and recored 36 tackles, 10 for a loss, 4.5 sacks. and one forced fumble. Jackson also fills a need on the Chiefs defensive front for a true 3-4 end.

Kansas City does not own a second round pick in the 2009 draft as part of the deal that brough Matt Cassel from New England
